Cake Batter

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour 420 g
  • 1/2 cup almond meal 50 g
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar 300 g
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 8 ounces strawberries hulled and halved (or quartered if large)
