- 1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided into 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoon and 1 tablespoon portions
- 1/2 cup fine-ground yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 6 tablespoons buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 pound Concord grapes, stemmed and seeds removed, divided into 2 equal portions
