Blueberry Heart-Puff Pastry

  • 1 package quality puff pastry dough
  • 1 jar Blueberry Jam
  • ⅓ Cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 teaspoon water (beat together)
  • Heart shaped cookie cutter
  • all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 350F

Dust your work surface with all-purpose flour. Lightly roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin.
Begin cutting hearts with the cookie cutter. Cut enough hearts to have 2 sides. Place one side of each heart on a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Place a small portion of blueberry jam in the center of a heart, add a few chocolate chips. With a pastry brush, brush the edge of each heart with egg wash. Place the other side of the heart on top and gently pinch the edge to seal.

Place sheet pan into the oven and bake 12-15 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool before serving.
