  • 18 oz. fresh blackberries
  • 3 tbsp. sugar

Shortcakes

  • 2 c. flour
  • 5 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter cold
  • 2/3 c. half-and-half
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 – 8 oz. container whipped topping thawed
